Aristotle
Ancient Greek philosohper (384-322BCE) and student of Plato. He was tutor
to the young Alexander the Great of Macedon.
He founded a philosophical
school, the Lyceum, at Athens in 335.
Aristotle wrote on a wide variety of
topics from physics to rhetoric. Following Plato, Aristotle is probably the most significant philosopher in the Western world.
