Moral Designators

Any term which is predicated of actions in order to indicate their agreement (or disagreement) with the tenets of a moral system.

There are many generally recognized moral designators: 1) 'Right' ('ought', 'should'), 2) 'Wrong' ('ought not', 'should not'), and 3) 'Permissible'.

'Right' is predicated of actions which are justified by and/or consistent with a moral system. It always implies a positive obligation to act in a certain way. 'Wrong' is predicated of actions which are inconsistent with or fail to be justified by a moral system. It always implies a negative obligation to act. 'Permissible' is predicated of actions which are consistent with a moral system, but which carry no obligation to act.
